For 2025, the UK has updated its visa fees for international students. If you're planning to apply for a student visa, here's what you can expect:

  • Student Visa: The fee for a standard student visa is approximately £363 for applicants outside the EU. This fee may vary depending on the type of visa you're applying for, such as a dependent visa or a longer course visa.
  • Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS): The IHS fee is set at £470 per year for students, which grants access to the UK's National Health Service (NHS).

Financial Requirements for International Students

Aside from the visa fees, international students will need to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover their living expenses and tuition. Here’s a breakdown:

  • London: Students will need to show £1,483 per month for living costs, which has increased from the previous requirement of £1,334.
  • Outside London: The required amount is now £1,136 per month, up from £1,023.

In addition, you can use the deposit you paid for your accommodation to count toward your financial evidence requirement.
